Very funny! I think it's a texture thing too. Perhaps not really use to that kind of feeling in her mouth. But, she goes back and tries to eat it off the back of her hand... I think after about 5 more times, she will like it. Gwyndolin didn't like rice at first either... it wasn't until we got to Hong Kong that she had to eat some rice that had been soaked in some sauce....then, we realized she is a "saucy girl" and her rice has to have flavor....she loved the saucy rice. Maybe Mia will be the same - maybe she will want some sort of sauce on it. :-) ~Keely (Ziggy)
That was way to cute! Have you tried mixing a very small amount of rice with something pureed that she likes? Then as she gets used to it you can increase the amount of rice you put in.
I decided to become a Single Mom By Choice and started an adoption from China in 2006.

Absolutely adorable. Especially when you said something like, "What do you think?" and she squealed on queue.
It's not the rice - it's the spoon - try chopsticks? ;) (Got three ourselves - we're allowed to make bad jokes!!)

Z still won't eat rice. I used to think it was a texture thing, too. Nope ~ he just really doesn't like it.
